Battle of the Mind

The devil is a liar. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He comes to steal your joy- having you think about all the things you don't have and lack. He comes to steal your peace-bringing up the past, your past failures, past mistakes. He comes to steal your hope- having you look at your current situation and telling you " this is as good as it's gonna get". He feeds your mind with lies having you then verbally recite the lies. He comes to kill your dreams- having you fall into set traps he creates. He comes to hold you hostage and keep you in bondage- filling your heart with unforgiveness and selfishness. Once he plants lies of all kinds in our mind we can easily fall into his trap by believing his set ups and then they come out of our mouth and enter into our hearts. As a believer in Christ the word of God tells us, "therefore, I tell you whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have it and it will be yours." The cycle of confusion that the enemy tries to create will continue until we begin to develop tools to fight him off. I am learning how to kill the lies of the enemy with God's truth. One scripture I am reminded of is Philippians 4:8, "whatsoever is true, whatsoever is noble, whatsoever is right, whatsoever is pure, whatsoever is lovely, whatsoever is admirable, and if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think on these things." Practicing these thoughts along with prayer will guide and realign our hearts to cast out the enemy who's job is to rob, kill, and destroy us. The devil is under our feet and can be casted away, we have the victory in Jesus name and will always win in the end the question is, do we really believe that? I will not give the enemy that kind of power over my thoughts, heart, and life. The enemy has come to kill, steal and destroy BUT Jesus came so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. As I write to encourage and inspire you, I write to encourage, inspire, and sustain myself.
